When you have decided to make a booking all we require is a letter or confirmation and the deposit. You can find a "Booking Form" on this website to print,fill out and drop in the post. You will receive your receipt in about 5 working days after your deposit is received.
The balance payment is collected on the night of the performance and we offer two payment options.  :)

A very important factor when booking any band is the way in which the band present themselves on stage and too your guests. All members of The Brian Mc Dermott Band wear suits and are always well presented,friendly and willing to answer any questions or requests you or or guests may have. :)

We do not currently charge travel expenses so booking the band for a wedding in Cork or Belfast is the same price. :)

A very important question to ask any band is have they got back-up equipment incase anything goes wrong or breaks down!
We have a back up of everything including a brand new second mixing console,extra new microphone leads,extra microphone stands,speakers,microphones,CD players etc... :)

If you would like to book the band for your wedding but would prefer to catch a live performance before you do, a date can be held until another enquiry comes in for that date.However no date is secured until a deposit
is recieved. :)

Calling up guests to sing at a wedding can go really wrong if its not done properly! We only call up singers or musicians that the bride or groom have requested directly and this stops it turning into a karaoke night!
The best time to do this is around the buffet break time so to minimize delays. :)

As a wedding band you have to be able to cater for all types of crowds including young and the not so young!
As you may have seen from the sample lists on this website we do just that,playing everything from Waltzes up to U2 if required.
The lists on here are only samples and we are adding to our repertoire all the time. If you have a certain song you would like played for your first dance that is not on the list we would be able to perform it with notice. As a successful wedding band you must be able to decide which songs work and keep people dancing and which songs are great to listen to but are not floor fillers! :)

There are currently five full time members of The Brian Mc Dermott Band.We have the option of a sixth member who adds another saxophone and fiddle to the band.See booking form for details.
Instruments include Alto Saxophone,Guitar,Keyboards,Bass Guitar and Live Drums and everybody sings... :)

We arrive at each venue at approx 7:30.
Our set-up time is 40-50 minutes (depending on venue) for the band.
The normal starting time is between 9pm and 9:30pm and we play until 12am and then the disco takes over until 2am.
The hotel decides on the time to serve the buffet and this usually happens between 10:30pm and 11pm and takes approx 15 minutes.This is the only break we take.
We play a non-stop set each side of the buffet so there is no delaying and the dance floor never gets a chance to empty !
Be careful when booking a band that promises to play for 3 or 4 hours,most take long breaks between songs! :)
